These are some creepy short stories I wrote for various Halloween pasts. Not all are intended to be scary. Some are just weird.
Dark Friend – One of my earlier stories, reflecting my concerns about the counter parenting and hateful attitudes present in my marriage, coming from my husband and his parents. It was not consciously acknowledged by me at the time, but I read this story now and see exact parallels with what was happening.
Spirit Nonsense – An attempt at a more “active” short story.
Intruders – I was considering if ghosts exist, why and how might they exist.
Jimmy Roe’s Big, Black Dog – An experiment in writing dialect.
Weeds – I love gardening when I have the means to indulge it. So, of course, I had to explore how gardening might turn terrifying.
